In a significant advancement for American solar manufacturing, Nevados has partnered with Priefert Steel to commence production of its All Terrain Tracker™ systems at Priefert’s state-of-the-art facility in Mount Pleasant, Texas. This collaboration not only bolsters the domestic supply chain but also aligns with incentives from the Inflation Reduction Act, promoting American-made renewable energy solutions.

A Synergy of Innovation and Tradition

Priefert Steel, a third-generation family-owned company renowned for its contributions to the ranch and rodeo industries, brings nearly six decades of steel fabrication expertise to this partnership. Their high-precision manufacturing capabilities complement Nevados’ innovative design, resulting in a solar tracking system that excels in both performance and durability.

Economic and Environmental Benefits

The production of Nevados’ trackers in Texas is expected to create new manufacturing jobs in Mount Pleasant, a community with a rich industrial heritage. Additionally, utilizing American-made steel reduces shipping times and associated carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable and efficient supply chain.

Meeting Market Demand

By the end of 2023, Nevados aims to have contracted enough trackers to support approximately 1.5 gigawatts of solar generating capacity across the United States. This expansion reflects the growing demand for adaptable solar solutions that can be deployed on diverse terrains without the need for extensive land grading.

Looking Ahead

As the renewable energy landscape evolves, partnerships like that between Nevados and Priefert Steel exemplify the potential for innovation and tradition to converge, driving forward sustainable solutions that benefit both the economy and the environment.
