Entergy Louisiana and DESRI announce start of commercial operations at Sunlight Road Solar
Entergy Louisiana and D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) have commenced commercial operations at the 50-megawatt Sunlight Road Solar facility in Franklinton, Washington Parish. This installation, featuring over 100,000 photovoltaic panels, will generate enough electricity to power approximately 11,500 homes. Through a 20-year power purchase agreement, the facility is expected to save Entergy Louisiana customers about $22 million. The project aligns with Entergy’s commitment to a net-zero emissions future and supports the state’s growing demand for renewable energy.
